The forthcoming Monte-Carlo Television Festival, which is scheduled to take place from June 14 to June 18, will honour actor Morgan Freeman. At the festival's opening ceremony, Freeman, who has a long history in both film and television, will accept the Crystal Nymph Award from Prince Albert II of Monaco.

The Gray House, which was produced by Freeman and Kevin Costner, will have its world debut in front of executive producers Leslie Greif and Lori McCreary following the opening ceremony. The main cast of the film, which includes Mary-Louise Parker, Daisy Head, Amethyst Davis, and Ben Vereen, tells the tale of Union spies against the backdrop of the American Civil War.

The festival's greatest accolade, the Golden Nymph Award, is going to go to French actor-director Olivier Marchal. At the festival's closing ceremony, Marchal, the man behind the French police procedural drama Braquo, will receive recognition for his services to television. The British actress of Indian descent, Simone Ashley, who rose to renown for her role in the historical drama Bridgerton, will receive the International Golden Nymph for most promising talent in Monte-Carlo.
